ThriftIQ ("we", "the app") helps you photograph an item and estimate its
resale value. We built ThriftIQ to keep your data on your device as much as
possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who it's shared with.
What we collect
Account info. When you create an account we store your
name and email. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google,
we receive a user identifier and (if you allow it) your name and email from
that provider. Email-and-password accounts are kept on your device only,
with the password stored as a salted hash — never in plain text.
Photos you scan. When you scan an item, that photo is
sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to identify the item and estimate its
value. The photo is used only to generate that result and is not stored by
us afterward.
Scan history & inventory. The items you scan, the
prices you enter, and your sold/profit records are stored locally on your
device. We do not upload this to a server.
Purchases. ThriftIQ Pro subscriptions are processed by
Apple. We never see or store your payment-card details.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information.
We don't show third-party ads.
We don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:
Your account credentials are stored in the device Keychain. Your scan
history and inventory are stored locally on your device. All network requests
use encrypted HTTPS connections.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all of its scan history at any time from
Settings → Delete Account & Data inside the app. Because
this data lives on your device, deleting it removes it.
Children
ThriftIQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
